In high school I ask mom to make doughnuts with me. At the time she was reluctant because of the mess and time, but I was persistent and eventual she decided I really wanted to make doughnuts.

While I was her 4th child. I was the first she taught to make doughnuts. After several years we set up a doughnut booth at a church bazaar.

Eventually she taught many grand children including my son. Over the years, I find making doughnuts with a group, much more fun.
