Beat eggs and sugar together. Add melted butter and cocoa: mix well. Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder together and add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk and vanilla. Mix well; chill for 1 hour or overnight. Turn out on floured board. Work in flour as needed. Roll out about 1/2 inch thick. Cut with doughnut cutter. Fry in deep fat at 375o.. (Test temperature using donut hole.) Fry one side until rounded and top spreads; turn once. Drain on paper towels and roll in sugar.
